Founded in NYC and based in Los Angeles, Balcony 9 is an independent production studio dedicated to the creation and oversight of meaningful content. With high-profile productions featuring a-list actors like Owen Wilson and Kate Bosworth, Balcony 9 is quickly en route to becoming a household name in the Hollywood landscape. I created the company’s narrative in collaboration with the Amsterdam-based design studio Smörgasbord, adorning the metaphorical platform with the uplifting line: a place for elevated conversations.
Excerpt: “Things may appear different at a height. That is not a disclaimer, it’s an invitation to look up. We are Balcony 9, an independent production studio dedicated to all matters of significance and the artistic lens through which they’re framed. We aim to be a place where elevated conversations are fostered, shifting focus towards issues hidden in taboo, political suppression or social obscurity. We tell big stories in intimate ways, pulling the niche into a space where it can be heard and understood. We represent voices, visions and ideas across all visual and auditory media. We dreamt all of this up on a ninth floor balcony in Chelsea. An elevated conversation; a shift in focus. Things may appear different at a height, we invite you to look up.“
